For domestic consumption, rice is usually packaged in gunny bags or plastic bags. In addition to airtight plastic containers, a polyethylene film can also be used to store rice in an airtight manner. This type of storage requires paddy to have a moisture content of 30-40% relative humidity. We make sure that the bags are clean, dry and well stitched. This is helpful in limiting the risk of loss as much as possible, right from the beginning. In order to transport rice, it must be dried. Rice has a storage life of about two years at a water content of 13%.
